Training Workshops – Social Impact

Measuring Social Impact Training Anaylise172

Our training is for organisations who want to develop a framework, reporting process and system for measuring the social and economic impact of their projects.

The workshop covers the ten steps covered in our Guide to Measuring Impact, which  will cover the following topics: Strategy pinned on noticeboard

  • Defining your aims and objectives
  • Defining your outputs and outcomes
  • Communicating impact using a Theory of Change Model or Logic Model
  • Methods of capturing evaluation data
  • Producing social impact materials
  • Designing a comprehensive client management and social reporting system

During the workshop we will support you to apply the learning to your own project or organisation, allowing time for discussion, reflection and peer support. For this reason we keep our workshops relatively small with an average of 8 people.

Our trainers include:

  • Measuring Impact Masterclass – Heather Black – Since 2000, Heather has worked as a research consultant developing impact frameworks and evaluating the impact of social and economic development projects across the UK  funded by the national to local government, the Big Lottery and Comic Relief amongst others. She also regularly helps organisations to implement management systems to manage and measure performance.
  • Measuring Impact of Volunteering Masterclass – Sophie Wellings – Sophie has 20 years experience leading and developing the volunteering departments for national and social care charities.  She is an assessor for two quality kitemarks – Investing in Volunteers and the Approved Provider Standard for mentoring and befriending projects. At Economic Change, Sophie works with clients to improve volunteer management and impact measurement practices.
