Harrow Equalities Centre is a human rights and equalities body that promotes justice and equality of opportunity between individuals and groups of people from different backgrounds.
HEC commissioned Economic Change to undertake market research and a feasibility study to assess opportunities to develop trading activities and a social enterprise model, in order to become less reliant on local public sector contracts, in response to funding cuts.
‘Economic Change responded quickly to our request to undertake market research and develop a business strategy document that would help us to be sustainable. They were thorough in their research and their staff gave very helpful advice and practical ideas about how to generate income. The initial market research information gathered by Economic Change has been used to lever funding from charitable trusts. We have begun to adopt the sales targets and financial projection method which is a relatively new departure for us.’
