The Let’s Do Business (South East) Group Limited is a not for private profit company helping businesses to start-up and grow throughout the South East of England.
With its origins in Hastings over 20 years ago the Group has developed from an Enterprise Agency and town Chamber of Commerce to become a leading provider of business advice, training, access to finance and business events in the South East. As well as its work directly with businesses, the Group contracts with a range of public and private sector partners to deliver projects and contracts – worth over £10m over the last 10 years.
The Let’s Do Business management team had identified that their client management system was not working effectively. They needed to strategically review operations and implement a new solution that would deliver improved client flows and increase marketing opportunities.
How we supported:
Economic Change took on a coaching role with the management team, providing knowledge and support to summarise reporting requirements, identify business efficiencies, develop new processes utilizing cloud-based software solutions and align data gathering requirements across 5 departments.
We helped the department managers to develop process maps and develop an organizational-wide CRM specification.
What the client says…
“Economic Change helped us through our planning stages, helping us to identify key areas for consideration, and providing the framework and structure we need to approach the project.
The support provided a framework for us to review our systems and procedures and map out our requirements for a CMS. This enabled us to review a number of CMS options, ensuring we chose the most appropriate product. In addition we were enabled to develop an effective Implementation Plan.
The key output was the successful delivery of the new CMS – this is now well underway with key parts of the business successfully utilising the system. By the end of 2015 the system will be working organisation wide.
Having a robust CMS system in place was an enabling factor in bidding for a contract to deliver a new project worth c. £120k and employing 2 new members of staff.”
This support was match-funded by the Growth Accelerator programme.
